Recovery of pelvic floor
Genital muscle recovery
During labor the pelvic floor muscles undergo under serious strain during the delivery of the fetus, causing elongation of these muscles and loss of contraction. This becomes especially relevant in cases of large fetuses or complicated deliveries.
It is important during the month after delivery to undertake rehabilitation of the pelvic muscles. This will prevent future declines in organs such as bladder, uterus or rectum and will also prevent urinary incontinence.
