Diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities
Removal of amniotic fluid by transabdominal puncture of the uterine cavity. For prenatal diagnosis it is usually performed between the 14 th and 17 th week.
This test allows to obtain amniotic fluid and fetal cells and is useful for detecting chromosomal abnormalities, metabolic and neural tube defects.
